TV-Browser es una guía de TV digital.
TV-Browser obtiene el programa diario de TV de Internet y lo muestra claramente organizado - como una guía de TV impresa. Una conexión a Internet es solo necesaria durante la actualización de datos.
Nota:No puedes usar TV-Browser para ver TV.
Tu canal favorito probablemente ya está soportado.
No tenemos ningún trasfondo comercial. Simplemente nos gusta trabajar en este proyecto - en nuestro tiempo libre.Realmente no queremos ganar dinero con el proyecto.
TV-Browser no contiene código malicioso como spyware, puertas traseras o similares. El código fuente es abierto. No podemos ocultar nada.

Consigue un entorno de ejecución de Java de Sun, si tu computadora no soporta Java aún.
La apariencia y la sensación de TV-Browser se pueden cambiar con la ayuda de skins e íconos.

Novedades de la versión 3.0.2-beta1
Versión 3.0.2-beta1:
- TV-Browser 3.0.2 se envía sin la mayoría de los plugins, los encontrarás en un paquete de plugins que se puede instalar fácilmente con Drag'n'Drop en la tabla del programa.
- El plugin de datos de TV-Browser fue renombrado a datos EPGfree para separarlo de TV-Browser en sí.
- TV-Browser 3.0.2 contiene algunas nuevas características como el nuevo diálogo de filtro y algunas correcciones de errores.
- Esta es una versión beta, por lo que probablemente contiene errores.

I really tried hard to format the TV-Browser review reader-friendly, with a clean Return after each paragraph. But all the Returns were deleted by MacUpdate again and again. Maybe they are trying to save space. Then I tried to write a comment to my own review, but it kept disappearing. Don't know what's going on here…

MacUpdate says (in red letters in the upper right corner of this page): "This app is no longer supported by it's developer."
This is incorrect. I just updated from v3.4.1.0 to 4.0.1, and the splash screen that came up after the installation said: "TV-Browser is developed on a regular basis."
Today, Oct. 2020, the newest version is v4.2.1, and it requires Java 11. I downloaded the newest version first, of course, but the program kept telling me that Java 11 was needed for it to run. I couldn't find Java 11 anywhere for my old Mac, and it really took me some time to figure out that the latest version my old MacBook Pro running High Sierra supports is actually v8. Once I realized that, I downloaded v4.0.1 for Java 8, and everything is running fine now.
This is an excellent program for European TV channels. I use it for German channels. It's interface is like a TV magazine, and you can highly customize it. You can set reminders to your favorite transmission broadcasting, and see whether an event will be repeated in the upcoming weeks. Movie comments contain the name of actors, directors, release date, etc. If I liked the movie, I copy the aforementioned data and paste it into my FileMaker Pro movie database.
There are also (regularly) updated plug-ins available. Some obviously cover US TV, but I have never bothered to test them.

what's new
TV-Browser 3.1RC1 fixes bug of the beta version and contains some improvements to support better personalization with themes.
For easy handling of the Personas the Plugin PersonaHandler is available for installation through TV-Browser. TV-Browser 3.1RC1 is a release candidate and probably contains bugs. A Java JRE since version 6 is needed.

Beta will not run in Lion. Useless for US TV, by the way. If you're on this side of the Atlantic, don't bother with this. TitanTV.com if you're still watching TV at all.
